Year after year, LARSON employees have proven they embody the giving spirit. Once again Larson Manufacturing surpassed their United Way contributions from last year for a grand total of $230,872.75 thanks to the generous donations of employees.

The Company kicked off its 2016 fundraising campaign hosting a luncheon at all locations followed by a variety of fund raising events such as a raffle event where employees could buy tickets for a number of prizes including department lunches and gift cards to local businesses.

Larson committee presents United Way with check

We have a great committee here at Larson to help plan events and raise campaign funds throughout the year, culminating with the Campaign Week in October,” Larson United Way Committee Member Kay Dahl said. “The success of fundraising and the campaign itself would not be a success without a great committee of volunteers.”

Campaigns like this are nothing new to Larson Manufacturing—the company has been hosting corporate wide fund raising events for the United Way since 1997. With nearly 20 years of campaigning, it’s no wonder that Larson Manufacturing had nearly 90% of their employees pledge to the campaign.

These successful campaigns further supports the LARSON Vision-Mission-Values statement and are a true measure of the generous and caring employees at Larson Manufacturing.

“Our Larson employees are very generous and giving; we all follow in the example set by Dale Larson and his family,” United Way President Elect and Larson employee Mike Kondratuk said. “Our giving nature is embedded within our culture.”

Although contributions will be accepted at any time, the Brookings County United Way’s formal fundraising campaign will run through the end of the year. The goal for the 2016 campaign is $1.1 million, up from the goal of $1 million set for the organization’s 2015 campaign.

While the Larson Manufacturing Headquarters contributes to the Brookings County United Way, they are proud to be major contributors at all of their locations. The Lake Mills, IA location brought in a total of $49, 214.24.
