The employees of Larson Manufacturing in Brookings, SD set out on a mission to raise money for the Brookings County Special Olympics.
Employees rallied to put on two events, a bake sale and a raffle, to raise funds. The events, combined with a generous match from the Larson Foundation, raised $5,000 for the Brookings County Special Olympics.

The raffle, “Too Chicken To Plunge,” gave employees the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets and vote for a manager to wear a chicken suit for the day. The manager with the most tickets at the end of the raffle was required to wear a chicken suit during a full work day.
Additionally, employees gathered as a team to participate in the Polar Plunge.
The Polar Plunge is a unique opportunity for individuals, organizations, and businesses to support Special Olympics athletes by immersing themselves in icy and frigid waters.
